Hello, Bicycle! Showroom Bugis

Visited the middle road showroom a couple of weeks ago, ordered and paid in full a Shulz foldable as the pre-sales service was good (served by another staff who wasn't around during collection). Just collected it today 19 Dec 2023 from the same showroom. It was a horrific and terrible bike collection experience! +++ POTENTIAL BUYERS BEWARE ! +++ 1. "New" bike had deep scratches (4-5cm long on handle bar). Scratch is not of hairline type. The paint/coating was severely scratched. 2. Handlebar release clip has dents marks(1.5 to 2cm long) and the the dents are so deep that you can see the aluminium material beneath. 3. Leather seat post was scratched and the leather seat itself had dent (Staff claimed it was a result due to storage during folding). Surely a new bike was assembled and transported to showroom but why would it be folded for such long period during transportation? You can tell that the damage to the leather seat was so bad that the foam and leather did not spring back to its original form and hence created a dent. The explanation doesn't tally. I requested to change the entire handlebar and seat as the scratches and dent were so bad that I couldn't bring myself to accept these as part of a new purchase. Their staff (Andrew) told me that the release clip can be swapped but nothing can be done with the handlebar and " it is normal to have such scratches". -- his exact words. I told him no, as such defects in a brand new purchase were not norm and I asked if he himself had ever accepted such condition in the purchase of a new bicycle that was retailed for $900. He remarked: "I wouldn't buy such cheap bike" -- Those were his exact words.. Unprofessional post sales attitude, uncalled for remarks and not accepting responsibilities for poor quality product sold! Simply appalling! My last option ended up with checking the demo sets from the showroom itself and guess what, the demo set condition was much better than my " NEW" bike. The other staff( Malay guy) was apologetic though and helped to clean up the demo bike and installed the seat post from another coloured demo bike, as the display bike itself has its seat missing. Today collection of my supposedly "New" purchased bike, ended up with a compromise of accepting the showroom demo bike was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't ever recommend anyone to this company. Update in response to seller reply: Fact 1- the 30% discount was a Xmas promotion for all customers buying this model. This xmas discount was given since I ordered and paid in full 2 weeks ago.It was not a discount/benefit given due to the poor condition during collection today. Anyone who goes to your online store and purchase that model today will receive the same exact discount! Fact 2- the seat I eventually received was taken out from a demo bike ( pistachio coloured bike) from the demo rack. That was the best condition available. It wasn't from any new stocks in your showroom.

Headed down to the shop earlier this afternoon and had a great experience. Wanted to get a bike for my niece and the staff were so courteous and helped us pick the best bike, perfect for young kids who are just starting out. Prices were also reasonable and there were many bike options and accessories to chose from. Would definitely come back to visit and maybe get a bike for myself! Thank you team!

The team at Hello Bicycle! was truly exceptional. Being a newbie, I felt a bit overwhelmed by the multitude of bike options available. However, the staff members were incredibly kind, courteous, and went out of their way to make me feel confident in choosing the perfect bike for me. Their extensive product knowledge was evident, and the bikes themselves were of superb quality and craftsmanship. The level of customer service I received was nothing short of impeccable. I departed with not only a beautiful bike but also valuable advice that I'm eager to put into practice as I explore the city. (Update: Went in again with another problem on my bike and even though they are really just a bike sales shop and don't generally do repairs, they spent some time trying to make some adjustments on my bike. Super kind!) ) Walked my bike in with a punctured tube on a Sunday and they said the mechanic was out and they normally wouldn't do a repair but one of the guys said he could it anyway. Really helped me a lot. And they were friendly in general. Good shop.
